If you'd like to sell any Apple Tech you'll need to remove your iCloud account before sending it to us.
Removing your iCloud account is easy, and can be done either directly from your device or by logging into the iCloud website.
Below are some instructions on how to remove your iCloud account directly from the device you wish to sell:
iPhone
If you're using iOS version 10.3 or later:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on [your name]
3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Tap Turn Off
If you're using iOS version 10.2 or earlier:
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Sign Out
2. Tap Sign Out again
3. Then tap Delete from [My device]
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Next go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out
iPad
If you're using iOS version 10.3 or later:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap [your name]
3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Go back to Settings
6. Tap General
7. Near the bottom, tap Reset
8. Tap Erase All Content and Settings
9. Enter your Apple ID password to confirm the changes
If you're using iOS version 10.2 or earlier:
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Sign Out
2. Tap Sign Out again
3. Then tap Delete from [My device]
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Next go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out
6. Go back to Settings and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
7. Enter your Apple ID password to confirm the changes
Apple Watch
1. Hold your Apple Watch and iPhone close together
2. Open the Watch app on your phone and tap My Watch
3. Tap Apple Watch and select Unpair Apple Watch
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Tap again to confirm the changes
Note: When you unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, it will try to create a backup of your watch. If you were to get a new Apple Watch, you can use the backup to pick up where you left off.
iPod
If you're using iOS version 10.3 or later:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on [your name]
3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Tap Turn Off
If you're using iOS version 10.2 or earlier:
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Sign Out
2. Tap Sign Out again
3. Then tap Delete from [My device]
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Next go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out
MacBook (Pro/Air)
If you're using macOS Catalina or later:
1. Click System Preferences
2. Click Apple ID
3. Untick the box next to Find My Mac
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Click Sign Out
If you're using macOS Mojave or earlier:
1. Click System Preferences
2. Click iCloud
3. Untick the box next to Find My Mac
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Click Sign Out
iMac
If you're using macOS Catalina or later:
1. Click System Preferences
2. Click Apple ID
3. Untick the box next to Find My Mac
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Click Sign Out
If you're using macOS Mojave or earlier:
1. Click System Preferences
2. Click iCloud
3. Untick the box next to Find My Mac
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Click Sign Out
If you wish to remove your iCloud account remotely from the device you wish to sell using a PC or laptop, follow the instructions for your device:
iPhone
1. Switch off your iPhone
2. Log into the iCloud website from a PC or laptop using your Apple ID credentials
3. Click Find My iPhone
4. Click on the All Devices drop-down menu and select [My device]
5. Click Remove Account
6. Click Remove on the confirmation message
iPad
1. Switch off your iPad
2. Log into the iCloud website from a PC or laptop using your Apple ID credentials
3. Click Find My iPhone
4. Click on the All Devices drop-down menu and select [My device]
5. Click Remove Account
6. Click Remove on the confirmation message
Apple Watch
1. Switch off your Apple Watch
2. Log into the iCloud website from a PC or laptop using your Apple ID credentials
3. Open Find My Watch
4. Click on the All Devices drop-down menu and select your Apple Watch
5. Click Erase Apple Watch
iPod
1. Switch off your iPod
2. Log into the iCloud website from a PC or laptop using yourApple ID credentials
3. Click Find My iPhone
4. Click on the All Devices drop-down menu and select [My device]
5. Click Remove Account
6. Click Remove on the confirmation message
MacBook (Pro/Air)
1. Switch off your MacBook
2. Log into the iCloud website from a PC or laptop using yourApple ID credentials
3. Click Find My iPhone
4. Click on the All Devices drop-down menu and select [My device]
5. Click Remove Account

iMac
1. Switch off your iMac

It's important to remember to remove your iCloud account before selling your Apple device. We can't process orders containing Tech items that are still locked to an iCloud account, which will delay any payments.
If we receive a Tech item locked to an iCloud account, we'll send you an email with some instructions on how to unlock it remotely.
