Only some Timpson stores are participating in trading devices, you can check if there’s one near you by using the Timpson Store Locator.
If there isn’t a Timpson store near you yet, you can still trade with us by posting your device for free via Royal Mail, or by using one of musicMagpie’s SMARTDrop kiosks.
If you want to use another courier to trade in your item, just create a new order and choose your preferred courier on the checkout.
Note: You can cancel your Timpson Order via My Account.
What can you trade in at a Timpson store?
Currently, only iPhone and Samsung phones are accepted under the Timpson option.

Important Details
From Monday the 20th of October 2025, there will be no handling fee for using Timpson to sell your items to musicMagpie.
You must start your trade-in order online first, get your quote, and then choose “Timpson” as your drop-off option. You don't need to select a specific store, however you will only be able to trade in using a store on the list.
Don't forget to bring along a valid form of ID (e.g. driving licence, debit card, or bank statement) .
Make sure to remove iCloud or Android locks and reset your phone before visiting. The in-store assessment usually takes 10–20 minutes.
Any promotions or referral offers may not appear on your Order in the Timpson's store. This means the Valuation provided by the Timpson's colleague may be slightly lower than expected. Any promotional or referral rewards will be included on your final payment.
